We enable citizens and governments to let citizens take an active role in governing and designing society. We develop sensor technology to monitor worker safety and explore the ethical implications of using such technology. We help cities accelerate energy transition, climate adaptation and circular economy in neighbourhoods and urban areas by harnessing the power of data analytics and digital transformation. We work on security challenges such as social disorder and public nuisance in neighbourhoods and high-impact crime. We reflect on the use of technology in professional practice and everyday life. We create awareness of the impact of technology on people, professions and society as a whole, including the associated professional and ethical dilemmas.
