We do this, especially in (high-tech) manufacturing, horticulture and energy transition. Our aim is to help companies make business models and business processes more sustainable. With the focus on growing staff shortages, we want to help companies do better work with less staff.
Some examples
We build advanced automation prototypes for industry. For greenhouse growers, we investigate contactless ways to measure crops with sensors and light technology such as optics and photonics. We work with SMEs on Transferable Smart Industry Templates: we want to realise a digital and smart production process via templates. In such a way that developed methods, snippets, modules, applications, etc. can also work at other companies with products in small series. We test bearings for short and long periods under different operating conditions. The tests provide a better understanding of bearing behaviour, with the aim of generating big data to validate algorithms for predictive maintenance modelling.
